Alcohol rehab can be very expensive. There is the cost of the medical treatment that comes with detox, the medical treatment that comes with rehab, counseling and medications. That can cost a lot of money. On average rehab costs about $200 a night, with detox ranging from $400 to $800 depending on if it is done in a rehab center or a hospital.
Here is a guide to help you eliminate some of the costs of alcohol rehab if you need to enter one.
1. Insurance Companies. Some insurance will cover a stay in a rehab center. Some won’t. Some of the insurance companies will only cover a small portion, others cover the detox and medications but not the stay in the center. Call your insurance company and inquire about what coverage you have and what will be covered should you enter rehab.
2. Church/Community Services. Many churches and community centers have funds that they can offer members of their church or community if they are in need of rehab and need to enter it. Check with your church or community center to see if you can get any type of funding for this type of treatment.
3. Scholarships. Some rehab centers have scholarships that can help you cover the remaining costs of the treatment. Call the center and inquire about what they can do to help you get the money that you need for treatment.
4. Loans. As a last resort you can always apply for a personal loan so that you can cover the costs of rehab. While the other options don’t require that you pay them back, a loan comes with risks such as lowering your credit score, monthly payments and interest. Only use a personal loan or a bank loan as a last resort.
Don’t let money troubles prevent you from seeking the help that you need.
